The SE Freising drives to Ulm for a test match - unusual, but with good reason: A test against TSV 1889 Buch with ex-SE keeper Negele.

Freising

– A special weekend lies behind the soccer players of SE Freising.

The Lerchenfelder didn't test their form against one of the local opponents, on Saturday we went to the Württemberg state league club TSV 1889 Buch near Ulm - also as a team building measure.

Ex-SEF keeper Patrick Negele moved there in winter – and the Freisingers now paid him a visit.

Of course, there was also a game against Buch, the preparatory kick on Sunday afternoon was lost 3:4.

SEF trainer Florian Bittner only wanted to use the long journey and the team evening on Saturday as an excuse to a limited extent.

Above all, it was the yellow-blacks' exploitation of chances that prevented a better result.

"It annoys me that it wasn't enough," reports Bittner.

SE Freising: Offensive engine is already running at full speed - excursion strengthens the team structure

Things got off to a great start for the SEF: Luka Brudtloff (22nd) and Felix Günzel (30th) refined fine moves and stayed ice cold in front of keeper Negele.

But Buch came back, Freising couldn't really get back into the game.

It also took revenge that Freisinger had no nominal goalkeeper with them.

Player coach Florian Bittner was between the posts – understandably he lacked experience in this position.

So Buch not only equalized, but also turned the game around after a good 50 minutes and made it 4:2.

But the Freisingers came back and reduced the lead to 3:4 (79th) through Marcos Hones.

If the chances had been exploited more concentrated, the equalizer would have been possible.

All in all, player-coach Bittner drew a positive conclusion.

The company outing was worth its weight in gold, especially for the team structure.

The troops slept in tents and in cabins on site, "I felt a bit like I was in the B youth, the atmosphere was great".

The test also yielded important insights.

A lot has worked on the offensive, "but we still have to improve on a few things".

By the way: A return visit from TSV Buch has already been arranged for next year.
