Yossi Aboksis makes an effort to keep Uriel Degani in Betar Jerusalem | Israel Today

Although the brake has been notified to look for a new team, the coach does not give up and there are attempts to find an outline for his future in the capital • At the same time, the search for a foreign brake continues

The first move that Betar Jerusalem made this summer was to inform Itamar Nitzan and Uriel Degani that they were allowed to leave, in order to be released from their high contracts.

The goalkeeper has been with Maccabi Netanya for a long time, but is there a chance for a turn in the plot regarding Degani?

Well, the chance is not high but it does exist.

It turns out that behind the scenes coach Yossi Aboksis is working to keep the veteran brake, due to his professional importance and because he is not interested in replacing the entire defensive squad of the team from last season.

The problem is that leaving Degani on the roster will cause the players' salary budget to increase by more than a million shekels, and at the moment Jerusalemites do not have this option.

The team now works according to a plan for a player salary budget of NIS 8 million and still has difficulty transferring the team under control, as will be expanded later.

There are attempts to find an outline for leaving the brake, but at the moment it is difficult to implement such a move.

In light of this, Aboksis is also looking for a foreign, experienced brake, with a salary of up to 100,000 euros per season, and the goal is to close with a brake until the start of training camp in Austria.

"There are other players that it is better to save against in order to keep Degani, but it is not easy," they concluded in the capital.

Meanwhile, Betar claims that midfielder Tamir Adi, who received a financial offer to sign for another season, will not sign due to financial gaps between the parties and the player demands 25% more than he was offered. If Adi does not sign, Betar will move to other options.

Meanwhile, the group is still having difficulty passing the budget control and meeting all the obligations required by the chairman of the control, Sigalit Sage, when the group needs a sum of NIS 3-4 million to transfer the budget.

The Jerusalemites will have to prove that they can pass the budget by the beginning of next week, otherwise the group may be declared a nationalist, although in such a case the Jerusalemites will appeal the decision.
