The competition was to allow the French women to accumulate points for the Paris 2024 Olympics. The ten French women selected for Hungary were also part of the French selection for the Worlds in Uzbekistan in October.
Olympic medalists Romane Dicko, Amandine Buchard, Madeleine Malonga and Sarah-Léonie Cysique in particular will miss this international judo meeting.
The men's team remains in the competition, despite the presence of Teddy Riner at the training camp in Spain.
In Hungary, the athlete who extended to PSG in June, will return to international competition a year after the Tokyo Olympics.
