In a meeting held today (Wednesday) between the Mayor of Jerusalem, Moshe Leon, the Chairman of the European Athletics Association - Dubromir Karmrinov, and other senior figures in the industry in Israel, it was agreed that the parties will apply to host the European Under-23 Championships in 2027.
At the meeting, Karmarinov expressed great satisfaction with the way the competitions are being held these days at the new athletics stadium in Givat Ram, as well as with the new and advanced facilities established at the stadium.
The Mayor of Jerusalem, Moshe Leon: "Jerusalem received a lot of praise for the facilities of the new stadium and the management of the competition, and this put us in line with the world's leading cities in this industry and in sports. We will continue to host sports competitions and international cultural events in the city."
