OM released their player, while his contract ran until 2024.
The PSG runner-up club this season thanked the French international in a short press release: "for everything he has brought to the club since 2007. With 613 games in the Olympian jersey, he has undoubtedly entered the legend Olympian.

Steve Mandanda was competing with Pau Lopez in the cage for the Marseille club this season and recorded just 9 league appearances.
He should find a starting place in Ligue 1, at 37, replacing Alfred Gomis in Brittany.
With 613 games to his credit, the 2018 world champion is the most capped player in the history of OM.
Steve Mandanda had a great time in Marseille, winning a Ligue 1 title (2010), 1 Coupe de France (2016) and 3 Coupes de la Ligue (2010, 2011, 2012).
