Barcelona awaits a response from Bayer for Lewandowski while presenting Christensen

One of the wishes that Andreas Christensen wrote on a piece of paper when he was eight years old was to one day be a Barça player.

The Danish international has fulfilled today, at the age of 26, that wish and has signed a contract until 2026 with a termination clause of 500 million.

"I don't have to change anything but improve because I understand that I fit very well into Barcelona's style of play," argued Christensen, from Chelsea, the club with which he has won the Champions League.

Like Kessié, presented on Wednesday, Christensen is a player who had the freedom letter, an essential condition for him to sign for Barça, blocked by his precarious economic situation as president Joan Laporta admitted.

"Although there could be some exceptions, we will not incorporate more players until we can activate the second lever," said the Barça president, referring to the sale of 10% of the television rights to Sixth Street.

Laporta specified in this regard that the club has made an offer for Lewandowski and awaits a response from Bayern Munich.
