If nothing unexpected happens, Manor Solomon will sign today (Thursday) at Fulham and play next season in the Premier League.
After lengthy and difficult negotiations, which included UEFA intervention following the war in Ukraine, Shakhtar Donetsk's Israeli star will be loaned out to the English team for nothing, earning more than £ 1m a season from the newcomer to the Premier League.

Last week several senior teams entered the continent, including French side Nice, who made a big effort to persuade the Ukrainians to transfer Solomon to it, but he insisted he wanted to play exclusively in England.
The player's entourage said that there were teams that agreed to pay quite a bit for him, more than 8 million euros, but the heads of Shakhtar refused, and at some points the parties reached a dead end.
Earlier this week Solomon sent a message that for him he would only play for Fulham, who have been the most serious about him all along.
Due to Shakhtar's refusal to sell the player's card, despite Fulham's willingness to pay quite a bit for it, the English and Solomon took advantage of the clause that allowed the loan at no cost and went for an outline they wanted less, but one that would allow the deal to go through.

The Israeli talent knows exactly where he is going.
His conversation with Portuguese coach Marco Silva made it clear to him that the Cottagers are assigning him a significant role in the team next season.
Also, the understandings in advance were that after this season the English would want to buy the ticket from Shakhtar, and if Solomon impresses - even in higher amounts than they were willing to pay for it first.
After three seasons in which no Israeli player played in the Premier League, since Biram Kiel left Brighton in 2018/19, Manor will return to represent the country in one of the best leagues in the world.
