The tennis world continues to respond to Rafael Nadal's retirement announcement last night (Thursday) from the semi-finals of the Wimbledon tournament following an injury to his abdominal muscles.
The official account of the tournament wrote: "We send wishes for healing after retiring from the men's tournament before the semi-finals. We appreciate the fact that he worked so hard to be fit and wish him a full recovery. We look forward to seeing Rafa return to Wimbledon in the future."

Even his semi-final rival, Australian Nick Kirius, could not remain indifferent to the news, and although he secured his place in the final, he shared on his Instagram account his feelings: "Different players, different personalities… Rafa, I hope your recovery is fast. We all look forward to seeing you healthy soon Very. Until next time. "

Italian tennis player Fabio Ponini, who underestimated Nadal's injury and said this week: "Play four and a half hours with abdominal muscle pain? Yes, obviously. Do not believe what is written", folded from his reaction after the Spaniard's retirement and said: "I want to inform all journalists "Like Nadal, and I will not allow myself, it's time for you to stop manipulating, I wish healing and his team success."
