After a huge last kilometer, Tadej Pogacar (UAE) won his second victory in a row at the top of the Super Planche des Belles Filles at the end of the 7th stage of the Tour de France.
The German Lennard Kamna (Bora_Hansgrohe), the last survivor of the breakaway of the day, thought for a long time to win but was caught 200 meters from the goal.
First overtaken by Jonas Vingegaard (Jumbo-Visma) who finally saw his arms lifted on the Tour de France.
But like a boxer stunned but capable of delivering a final decisive blow, Tadej Pogacar, in a final thrust of bewildering power, caught up with the Dane before overtaking him in the last five meters.
The Slovenian is the undeniable boss of the Tour.
Behind the Slovenian-Danish duo, the gaps in a few hundred meters are enormous.
Thus, Primoz Roglic (Jumbo-Visma), still struggling 250 meters from goal and well recovered from his dislocated shoulder, conceded twelve more seconds on the line.
David Gaudu (Groupama-FDJ) and Romain Bardet (DSM) conceded a handful of extra seconds on the line.
In the general classification, only Vingegaard is still hanging on, 35 seconds behind Pogacar.
The third, Geraint Thomas (Ineos), winner of the 2018 Tour, is already at 1'10'.
And the high mountains have not yet reached the end of their peaks...
