The champion conceded a goal in the Belgians' last attack • Defenders Pierre Corno and Daniel Sundgren, and striker Franzi Piero, made their debut in Barak Bachar's team • Piero's goal disqualified

Tonight (Saturday), Maccabi Haifa ended its training game against the Belgian Mechelen with a 1-0 loss.

The goal in favor of the Belgians was scored in the last attack of the game, when the referee did not renew it afterwards.

The game was held at the home stadium of the Belgians, while the Greens made the short cut from their training camp in the Netherlands.

Defenders Pierre Corno and Daniel Sundgren, and striker Franzi Piero, made their debut in Barak Bachar's team.

Piero even scored a goal in the first half, but was disqualified due to a dissent.

The first half was better for Haifa, which also reached a number of valley situations.

Piero and Dean David missed two comfortable situations.

According to what it seems so far, the 11 who started against the Belgians, maybe with the exception of a change or two, will be the ones to play against Olympiacos in the Champions League qualifiers next Wednesday in Sami Ofer.

This coming Tuesday, Haifa will hold another training match against the Dutch Vitsa, Eli Desa's former team.

Barak Bachar told the club's website after the game: "There were a lot of good things, we are in the middle of the training camp and the players are working very hard and it is obvious to them. Along with the disappointment from the goal in the last attack, I saw a lot of bright spots and we continue to work."

The team that opened the game:

Josh Cohen, Daniel Sundgren, Sean Goldberg (Ofri Arad, 46), Bogdan Planich (Yinon Eliyahu, 66), Pierre Corno (Uri Dahan, 46), Neta Lavi (Ali Muhammad, 61), Muhammad Abu Fani (Mahmoud Jaber, 61), Charon Sheri (Maor Levy, 61), Omar Atzili (Mavis Chibuta, 61), Dean David (Dolev Haziza, 46) and Franzi Piero (Nikita Rokavica, 61) .
