Just before the World Athletics Championships, which open this weekend in Oregon, USA, runner Diana Weissman was found positive today (Saturday) for Corona.
The 23-year-old Weissman, who only last week broke the Israeli record in the 100 meters, was tested and is in isolation in her hotel room, when she has already reached her destination overseas, to get used to jet lag and start training for the important championship.
"Man makes plans and God laughs," Weissman wrote on Instagram.
"I'm sorry to announce but I got stuck in Corona. I'm in isolation in the room, hoping to get back to training soon to get the most ready for the world championships. Don't be complacent, take care of yourselves."

Weissman's qualifying round is scheduled to take place exactly one week from now, Sunday morning (3:10 Israel time), when nine other Israelis will take part in the championship.
