The Budapest Grand Slam in judo continues today (Saturday) to wake up the Israeli delegation, which continues to advance and gain an important score, all the way to the 2024 Paris Olympics. 

Tohar Botbul, who competes in the weight category up to 73 kg, won the bronze medal after defeating the Pole Adam Studolsky, who got on the board with Vasari, but then the Israeli captivated him until he surrendered and thus won the entire battle.

Botbol went straight to the second round today, where Kazakh Denir Shmishev waited for him, on whom he took a third penalty 58 seconds from the opening of the gold score and advanced to the quarterfinals, against Frenchman Acos who defeated him in penalties and advanced to the quarterfinals. 

Maya Goshen, who competes in the weight category up to 70 kg, will also try to get a medal for Israel. For the quarter-finals where she lost and moved to the House of Consolation, where an Australian rival won.
