The story of the ninth section was written by the Luxembourg rider of the Citroen group, 29-year-old Bob Jungles, who won the section after an impressive and aggressive single escape of about 60 km until the end of the mountain stage in Shuttle, France. The section opened in Swiss Switzerland and ended 193 km in a shuttle.
Guy Niv who was 106km inside the breakaway team eventually finished in 43rd place, 12:02 minutes away from the winning Jungles.

Tomorrow (Monday) the riders will have a day off before the arrival of the column to the mountain sections in the Alps, at the top of which will be the summit of the Alpe Doaz where the riders will be honored at the end of the 12th section.
