Bayern sell Richards to Nottingham

FC Bayern has given up Englishman Omar Richards after just one season.

As the German record champion announced, the left-back is moving to Premier League promoted Nottingham Forest.

Richards, 24, is reported to bring in around ten million euros including bonuses.

The backup player moved to Munich from Reading FC in England on a free transfer last summer and had signed a four-year contract until the end of June 2025.

'It was Omar's wish that we make the move to Nottingham Forest possible for him.

He sees an opportunity to become a regular at a Premier League club in his home country.

Nottingham is getting a very good player and a wonderful boy who will make his way,” said Bayern sports director Hasan Salihamidzic.

Richards could not prevail at Bayern and was only used sporadically;

he was allowed to play in 17 competitive games.

Nottingham had previously signed central defender Moussa Niakhaté from FSV Mainz 05 from the Bundesliga.

Bochum brings Ukrainian national player Ordets – thanks to a special rule

Bundesliga club VfL Bochum has signed Ukrainian international Ivan Ordets.

As the club announced, the central defender comes from the Russian first division club Dynamo Moscow and will receive a one-year contract.

The move is possible because Fifa decided as a result of the Russian war of aggression in Ukraine that contracts of foreign professionals in Russia may be suspended until June 2023.

The 30-year-old defender played for top Ukrainian club Shakhtar Donetsk from 2005 to 2019 and won the league title twice during that time.

In his first season after moving to Moscow, he was voted player of the season.

His contract in Russia ran until 2024. Ordets has made twelve appearances for the national team and scored one goal.

Premier League promoted Fulham want Wolfsburg's Mbabu

According to information from »Kicker«, right-back Kevin Mbabu from VfL Wolfsburg is about to move to Premier League club FC Fulham.

Around six million euros plus possible bonus payments are to flow to Lower Saxony.

The negotiations are already well advanced.

Sterling joins Chelsea

According to British media reports, England international Raheem Sterling is moving from English champions Manchester City to Chelsea.

Accordingly, the 27-year-old attacker should sign a five-year contract with the club of German coach Thomas Tuchel with the option for another year.

The transfer fee should amount to around 60 million euros.

According to reports in the Telegraph and the Sun, Sterling is expected to travel to the USA after passing the medical check-up, where Chelsea flew to the training camp on Saturday with a squad of 29 players.

Sterling switched from Liverpool to City in 2015 for €63.7m and has won four league titles with the club.

Leeds striker Raphinha wants to join a top club quickly

The striker from Premiere League club Leeds United Raphinha is apparently pushing for a quick clarification of his future.

Leeds did not include the courted striker in their pre-tour Australia squad.

"He has hopes and dreams, we'll see how it develops," said coach Jesse Marsch, who was once under contract with RB Leipzig.

After a strong Premier League season (35 games, 11 goals, three assists), the 25-year-old striker is under discussion above all at Arsenal, Chelsea and Barcelona.
