The power-forward, who previously played for Dallas and Cleveland from the NBA, will join the Red Carmel team • Coach: "We were looking for a diverse player who could play both indoors and outdoors."

Hapoel Haifa announced this morning (Sunday) the signing of Power Forward, Jaylen Jones.

The 29-year-old Jones (2.06m), began his professional career in the D-League and then also shared his time with the NBA teams: New Orleans, Dallas and Cleveland.

In 2019 he played in the Spanish Ascona uniform in the Euroleague, from where he moved to Varese in Italy where he finished the season with an average of 14.1 points and 5.5 rebounds.

Last season he played for Burj Basquet from the first division in France, where he averaged 10.2 points per game and 4.3 rebounds.

The chairman, Yuval Rossman, said of the player: "Not every day a player of such a quality level lands in the country who played at the highest levels. There is no doubt what to expect on both sides of the field and I am convinced that Jaylen Jones will be a significant factor in our goals this season."

Coach Sharon Drucker: "In building the squad, we were looking for a diverse player who could play both indoors and outdoors, with athletic abilities, and we found a player at that level.

We congratulate Jaylen on coming to Hapoel Haifa.

We are glad he chose us for the rest of his professional career.

Have a fun and enjoyable season. '
