An investigation published today (Sunday) in Germany reveals more details regarding the sale of tennis games, with two tennis players in the spotlight: Nicolaus Basilshvili and Aslan Kratzb and their former coach Yahor Yatzik of Belarus.

Yatzik, who has coached and traveled with Kratzb and Basilshvili to many tournaments, offered players money to skew results in at least two cases, according to the report.

According to German journalist Janik Schneider, the matter emerges from secret investigative documents of the ITF, the world tennis organization.

The journalists got their hands on five games in which the results were allegedly skewed, and which included drastic changes in the betting format on them.

In all five cases Kratzb was involved.

Two of those cases were at a time when Kratzb was collaborating with Yatzik (between 2021-2018) - a doubles match in Finland in 2019 and doubles in Kazakhstan in 2020.

Yatzik and Kratzb were questioned by French police during Roland Garros 2020, as reported last May.

Nothing has happened since that investigation.

According to the report, Kratzb is also suspected of skewing results in this year's Stuttgart tournament.

The Tennis Integrity Authority did not agree to comment on the matter.

Meanwhile, Kratzev's ex-girlfriend, Sofia Dmitriev, has been suspended for life for game biases.

Kratzev himself denied the allegations against him.

Kratzev, who was born in the Vladivostok, immigrated to Israel at the age of four with his sister and mother (who now live in Holon).

At the age of 16 he returned to Russia and lived with his father.

Regarding Basilshvili: His management claimed he was waiting to hear from the tennis integrity committee and had not yet received instructions from it.

According to the new exposure in Germany, Basilashvili's doubles match with Radu Albot in the first round at Wimbledon 2021 has been investigated due to suspicion of skewing results.

An Eastern European coach who spoke to ZDF, who published the investigation, remained anonymous, saying: "Yatzik has been involved in game sales for years, he works with people involved in game sales in Russia and Eastern Europe. He always has a lot of money and is looking for players in the round who have financial or mental problems .
