Engraved in the pages of history.
Novak Djokovic picked up his seventh and fourth consecutive Wimbledon title last night (Sunday), raising his tally to 21 Grand Slam titles - one more than Roger Federer and only one less than Rafael Nadal.
On the way there he defeated Yannis Sinner in the quarter-finals, British Cameron Nuri in the semi-finals, and Nick Kirius in the final.
He overcame them all while returning from a battle lag (against the Italian even a double lag) and proved for the umpteenth time, that he has iron nerves.

"Always remember to congratulate the champion who sacrificed a lot for the sport. Congratulations on this impeccable victory, you deserve it," tweeted Stefanos Tsitsipas, the fourth-ranked Greek in the world, perhaps half a sting to the tennis world, which has fed Djokovic quite a bit of straw in the past year.
Canadian Dennis Shapovalov responded: "Continues to raise the bar," his teammate, Washek Possificil, also: "Mental giant," and American Sandgren tennis added: "He really is the top alchemist.
Always remember to congratulate the champion who sacrificed tremendously for sports.
Congratulations @DjokerNole on this flawless triumphant run!

Now awaiting with great anticipation the two, who have not yet responded to the Joker's mighty win: Federer and Vandal by name.
