At the annual general meeting, TSV 1860 President Reisinger made one thing clear above all: He is proud of the development of the Löwen-NLZ.

Munich.

- Robert Reisinger was confirmed in his office as President of TSV 1860 Munich at the annual general meeting with 290 of 310 votes.

In his speech before the re-election, Reisinger made it clear that he is particularly proud of the development at the youth academy (NLZ).

And the new and old head lion wants to continue the course of the young lions.

TSV 1860 Munich: Reisinger proud of the return of the A and B juniors to the Bundesliga

One of the main goals of Reisinger's first term was to get the two most important youth teams back in the Bundesliga.

The B-Juniors made the leap back to the upper house in 2020.

Last season, the U19s, who went undefeated to the Bayernliga championship, followed suit.

After the professionals were forced to relegate in 2017, TSV 1860 had to make financial cuts.

The NLZ on Grünwalder Straße was not spared either.

According to President Reisinger, the year after the relegation was missing around 850,000 euros.

As the 58-year-old described in his speech on Sunday, the club had to scale back training measures.

"Belonging to the Bundesliga at junior level is by no means a matter of course."

A vicious cycle for the traditional Giesinger club, because for many young players perspective is one of the crucial points when choosing a NLZ.

As a reminder: In the Munich district, the Blues are known to compete with FC Bayern and SpVgg Unterhaching for the most promising talents.

With a view to the future and the training of other stars such as the Bender twins or Robin Volland, it was extremely important to return to the Junior Bundesliga with the two young lion teams.

Together with Dynamo Dresden, TSV 1860 Munich is now the only club in the 3rd division that plays with the two most important NLZ teams in the Bundesliga.

"Belonging to the Bundesliga in the junior division is by no means a matter of course," emphasized Reisinger at the general meeting in the Zenith.

TSV 1860 in the 2021/22 season "the leading third division team with the most playing times" of talents

The former head of the football department at TSV 1860 has often been asked by members over the past five years whether the high costs for the youngsters would actually be worth it.

Reisinger's clear answer: Yes!

Since taking office in 2017, the club has generated around one million transfer fees through the "FIFA solidarity mechanism" alone.

He also emphasized the prospective preparatory work if the club were to be promoted to the 1st or 2nd Bundesliga in the coming years.

The German Football Association (DFB) also pays a bonus to the third division teams if players from their own youth are used in the professional field.

Reisinger was optimistic that TSV 1860 was "the leading third division team with the most playing times" in the past season.

The new and old presidents promised that these funds would continue to flow exclusively into the cadre forge.
