Although Moshe Hogg would like to sell Betar Jerusalem to Barak Abramov, the businessman and Bnei Yehuda owners claim that the deal is not yet close. "There are many things that are not yet clear to us in this deal," say those around the businessman.
Abramov appointed Adv. Roi Rosen to handle the deal from a legal perspective, and the two met today (Monday) with Adv. Yitzhak Junger, the trustee on behalf of Hogg, who is also in talks with the purchasing group from the US, Advocate, because it is difficult to transfer such large sums overseas.
One of the important things that Abramov's representatives are trying to understand is the final position of the Israel Police regarding the sale of the group and whether it will create difficulties for its transfer to Abramov.
This, after a week and a half ago, the National Fraud Investigation Unit of the Israel Police, Lahav 433, which is conducting an investigation against Moshe Hogg, approached the court and asked that Betar Jerusalem not be sold to the association so that Hogg would not favor creditors.
Two other things on the agenda - a loan from the Jerusalem municipality, probably in the amount of about ten million shekels, which if not approved, can certainly influence Abramov's final decision whether to buy the group or not, and the other thing is public support - something the businessman does not have.
A Betar source said: "If Abramov takes the team he will have to talk to the fans, convince them that the celebrant will stay out and not be connected to the team, sign some good players, otherwise the fans will not come and buy any subscriptions." The team will play this afternoon Training against NS Ashdod.
