SV Vötting received several dozen teams, including ex-professionals, as part of the BFV-Ü Cup and set up a well-organized tournament.

Vötting

– There was a lot going on on the grounds of SV Vötting: Almost 30 men’s teams from 40+ to 60+ and finally also the 35+ women were at the BFV-Ü-Cups on Saturday to win their Bavarian champions determine.

After exciting games, FC Fürstenfeldbruck and FC Bayern Munich shared the four titles among themselves.

But the three district teams were also able to put themselves in the limelight.

FC Bayern's over-60s won the final game against SG Oberföhring 2-1.

SG Dornach came third, beating SG Gartenstadt Trudering 4:1.

The representatives of the record champions were also top among the women – thanks to the 5:2 win against ESV Penzberg.

Female soccer players from different clubs lined up for the ESV and took the opportunity to play together.

Because games over 35 are rare - there is no league and hardly any clubs that have a women's AH in the game.

Navina Omilade and Kathrin Lehmann in particular drew attention from the women of FC Bayern Munich.

Omilade was a midfielder in the Bundesliga from 1998 to 2013 and in the senior national team from 2001 to 2010.

Among other things, she won the European Championships in 2001 and 2005 and won bronze at the 2004 Olympics with the German team.

And Catherine Lehmann?

She is German-Swiss and the holder of a special record: she has not only been a soccer player, but was also successful on the skates in ice hockey.

She was the only player in Germany's sports history to score a goal in the highest soccer and ice hockey leagues.

Both women can currently be seen in the media as experts on women's football, including on ZDF.

FC Fürstenfeldbruck won the titles in the Ü40 and Ü50 finals.

In the over-50s final, the Brucker seniors and FC Bayern met: After 15 goalless minutes, it was a penalty shoot-out – and here the Fürstenfeldbruckers, most of whom had previously played for FCB with the “old men”, had luck on their side and won 4-3.

The people of Langenpreising caused a big surprise: The Ü40 team from the district of Erding won the semifinals in a penalty shoot-out 3-2 against FC Stätzling and made it into the final.

They also had a few chances against Fürstenfeldbruck, but the FCF were in better condition and were 3-0 ahead.

However, the Langenpreisingers were able to leave the pitch with their heads held high: They had fought and given their best despite minor injuries.

Speaking of injuries: Luckily there were only minor ones, not serious ones.

The eight referees, emphasized referee Gerhard Bille from FC Neufahrn, were very satisfied with the tournament and the mostly fair way of playing.

Vötting's chairman Schappert: "We are proud to have successfully organized such a big tournament"

However, the host club was also a big winner: The organizers of SV Vötting had given everything to offer footballers, officials and spectators a nice tournament day.

However, the officials of the Bavarian Football Association (BFV) had to change the schedule several times because it gradually became clear that some teams had not turned up.

Nevertheless, SVV chairman Markus Schappert was more than impressed: "Thanks to the many helpers, everything went well.

We at SV Vötting are proud to have successfully hosted such a big tournament.

And we can also be satisfied with the performance of our team.” The over 40s from SV Vötting made it to the quarter-finals, but were beaten there 2-0 by the eventual winner Fürstenfeldbruck.

"End of the line semi-final" was the motto for the over 40 seniors from VfB Hallbergmoos: They lost 2-0 to SG Johannis/Boxdorf.

For the over 50s of VfB, however, it was only enough for the match for seventh place after the group phase.

There she won 2-0 against FSV Landau.

Hallberg's hero of the day was Jeff Zhou, who scored in the 4-1 defeat by Bayern Munich.
