The European Dormitory Championships for seniors and graduates, scheduled for Israel and from which they will qualify for the Olympic Games in Paris 2024, were brought forward by a year.
The Israeli Volleyball Association, at the request of the European Union (LEN), agreed to advance the championship, which will arrive in Israel for the first time and will take place in Tel Aviv, this time of double importance - from which the teams will qualify for the World Championships a year later.
As you may recall, the union, led by Chairman Revital Cohen Gloska, took off last May for Spain, where the annual congress of the European Union was held, to present to its members the plans for the championship, which is expected to take place at the Expo in Tel Aviv.
In the presentation branded under the slogan: "All colors in one city", we saw the benefits of the city, cultural life as well as the events held on the competition site, such as the Eurovision Song Contest, the European Judo Championships and next month the European Rhythmic Gymnastics Championships.
In addition, a greeting from the Minister of Sports, Hili Trooper, was shown, a video was shown and special pralines branded with the Israeli flag and several other flags of key countries were prepared.
The European Union has decided to give Israel over to Serbia, which faced it, thanks to the success of hosting the World Cup for women up to the age of 20 last year and just before Israel will also host the European Under-19 Women's Championship this summer.
As mentioned, this is one of the most prestigious ball events here and important on the way to the Olympics: the men's and women's teams will advance to the final tournament, which will be attended by a total of 28 teams for two weeks, at the end of which tickets will be awarded to Paris.

The main problem is the location, since the demand is for stands with 5,000 spectators, which makes it impossible to hold the event at the Wingate Institute and therefore the Expo was chosen, for which they will have to build a temporary pool, which cost about four million shekels.
