The Olympic Committee hosted the Israeli delegation at the European Youth Festival Israel today

Today (Monday), the Olympic Committee held a meeting with the Israeli delegation, just before leaving for the European Youth Olympic Festival, which will open in about two weeks in Banska Bystrica, Slovakia.

No less than 46 athletes in blue and white aged 13-18 will take part in the competition and compete in seven different sports, many of which will eventually reach the Olympics as well.

Who will accompany the delegation as ambassador of the European Olympic Committees, will be the Olympic champion in artistic gymnastics Linoy Ashram.

Judoka Kerem Primo said: "I am very excited, this is my first big competition, and I am really happy to enter the competition. I will do everything I can, I come to have fun and do what I know. I believe it will be okay."

On the fact that her sister Geffen finished with the gold in the last competition in 2017, she added: "I do not think about it, this is just an example that anything is possible. I take inspiration from her."

To date, Israel has won a total of 44 medals in this event, including 17 gold.

Among the prominent names, one can find the judoka Raz Hershko with the money in 2015, when in the same year the swimmer Tomer Frenkel, the tennis player Yishai Uliel who won the money in singles and doubles and another long line of athletes also won the money.
