Barcelona announced that it had reached a preliminary agreement to sign Brazilian winger Rafinha from Leeds United.
In a statement on its official website, Barcelona said: "The completion of the deal depends on Rafinha passing the medical examination."
The two clubs did not disclose the financial compensation, but Spanish media indicated that Barcelona will pay 58 million euros, and the amount may increase to 68 million euros by adding bonuses.
Rafinha, 25, was linked to a contract until June 2024 with his English club, which he joined from French Rennes in 2020, in what became Barca's third deal this summer after the signing of Danish defender Andreas Christensen and Ivory Coast midfielder Frank Kessie for free.
