After a daunting 11th stage on the Tour de France, the Belgian Wout van Aert experienced an improbable exchange while descending from the Col de Granon in order to find his bus after the day's race: "I exchanged my green jersey with a fan for a bit of life-saving air.

Wout van Aert suffered a puncture after the stage.
A supporter, also on a bicycle, told him of a problem with his wheel, and lent him his pump so that the rider could repair his bike and set off again in complete safety.

The runner from the Jumbo-Visma formation, who made a big move yesterday cracking Tadej Pogacar who lost his yellow jersey to Jonas Vingegaard, stopped around many fans who immortalized the unique scene.
An Italian fan said on Twitter: âMy brother had a puncture, so we stopped by the side of the road to replace the inner tube.
Who stopped five minutes later?
Wout Van Aert.
I said to him: ''Wout a liquid comes out of the wheel'', and he replied that it was a tubeless (tires without inner tubes).
He asked for a pump, an Englishman handed him one saying: ''You're a legend''.
Wout replied: ''I have something for you, my green jersey is yours''.
