Maccabi Haifa poured quite a bit of money to land Franzi Piero, the striker of the Haitian team.
More precisely, it paid $ 1.6 million and made it the most expensive acquisition in the club's history.
Today (Friday) the player was interviewed on the official website of the club and referred to the challenge that awaits him in Carmel.
"I feel good at Maccabi Haifa, we have a good team with a lot of talent," said Piero.
"I know it's the biggest club in Israel and also played in the Champions League. I also heard about the fans coming to the games with a lot of passion. Hopefully they will shout my name a lot this season."
On his abilities, the striker said: "I am a complete player, can do anything on the field, I am physical, I have a lot of speed on the field. For me, the most important thing is to score."
On the goals for the upcoming season, Piero said: "The ambitions? To win the championship and get as far as possible in the Champions League qualifiers. If we continue to work and show as we look now for sure we will get far."
