Gilad Levy did not get the stage in Israel's youth teams in previous years for a variety of reasons, but in the European Championship for reserve teams that will start tomorrow (Saturday) in Montenegro, he is expected to be the mainstay of Israel - literally.

The huge chin, which rises to a height of 2.20 meters, is intended to be Oren Aharoni's senior inside player, in a squad where most of the quality is concentrated in the guard positions - from Noam Dovrat, through Roi Paritzky and Ron Zipper.

Although Levy missed parts of the tournament preparation due to injury, while training with the team he looked very good.

In a video released today by the Basketball Association, Levy's moves were focused on the game.

He finished it off with an impressive double-double of 16 points and 12 rebounds, making it harder for the more experienced and mature highs like Roman Sorkin and Idan Zalmanson.

At least the same ability is now expected of him in Montenegro.

Even if it does not end with a third consecutive victory of the reserve team in the European Championship, perhaps it will end with a real candidate to man for many years the most problematic position in Israeli basketball.
