After three years in the Landesliga Südwest, TuS Geretsried is now back in the Southeast group.

At the start of the new season, SE Freising is a guest at the Isarau Stadium this Saturday.

Geretsried – guesswork before the start.

After the frighteningly weak performance in the last friendly, Martin Grelic is far from optimistic before the start of the league game this Saturday against SE Freising (3 p.m., Isarau Stadium).

"This must not be a medium-term situation," says the coach of TuS Geretsried, still under the impression of the 2:3 defeat at the district league team TSV Neuried.

"I hope that the point game mode will improve things," says Grelics.

"It's now about getting back into the drive through sporting success." In other words, rekindling the vigor and fire that characterized his team in the previous second half of the season.

In view of the latest development, which is accompanied by numerous injured players and players unable to play for other reasons, there is "certainly not the best mood" at the moment, the coach gives an insight into the mental life of his kickers and admits that he imagines the continuation of his work at the national league differently Has.

Despite a number of absences, including regulars like Robin Renger (unable to work), Taso Karpouzidis (holiday) and Fabijan Podunavac (injured), the coach has a nominally well-staffed squad to start the game.

Of the newcomers, the young Simeon Zoumis (Grelics: "He will make his way with us.") takes a seat on the bench.

"Everyone who is there against Freising has the level to play in this league," emphasizes Grelics.

Martin Grelics has a clear opinion on the opening opponent, who was scrutinized by his new assistant coach Daniel Dittmann.

"Freising is very offensive," said Grelics.

"We know what to expect."

Although the guests also lost their last test, SEF player coach Florian Bittner is clearly happier than his counterpart before the trip to Geretsried.

"The preparation was good overall, characterized by team spirit and high training quality," he dictated to the Fupa reporter after the 5-2 defeat by Bayern league club FC Deisenhofen.

"We scored a lot of goals."

Therefore, the main focus of the TuS is not to let the Freising offensive develop.

"But we have a plan for that," emphasizes Grelics, without going into detail.

So that the plan works and the start is successful, he only hopes “that the attitude is different than last time in Neuried”.
