Britain's pole vaulter Holly Bradshaw has withdrawn from the World Athletics Championships in Eugene, Oregon, after the pole smashed and fell badly during her warm-up.
Reuters reported that Bradshaw, who won Olympic bronze in Tokyo last year, did not participate in the qualifying rounds to compete in Eugene for fear of any complications after feeling she was not quite well.
In the final of the competition scheduled for tomorrow, Sunday, American Olympic champion Katie Nugget seeks to win the world title for the first time after qualifying to compete for it.
