Juventus Turin continues to court defender de Ligt

According to a media report, the Italians want to change their offer in transfer poker between Juventus Turin and FC Bayern Munich for Juve defender Matthijs de Ligt.

The Turin club management wanted to convince the Dutchman and his advisor with a salary increase to extend his contract until 2025, reported the "Gazzetta dello Sport".

So far, it was considered agreed that de Ligt would prefer to switch to the German record champions.

According to the report, the Bianconeri would also be willing to lower the release clause from 120 million euros to 90 million euros.

But that would still put her above the offer from Munich for the 22-year-old (60 million euros plus 10 million euros bonus).

Transfer market expert Fabrizio Romano soon expected a new offer from the Bavarian capital, as he wrote on Twitter on Saturday.

Draxler not in Paris Saint-Germain squad for Japan trip

Julian Draxler is not part of French champions Paris Saint-Germain's squad for a trip to Japan in preparation for the new season.

This emerges from the squad published by PSG, which, unlike Draxler, includes the German selection player Thilo Kehrer.

The announcement did not explain why Draxler is not there.

There had been reports a few months ago that Draxler and Kehrer were among a number of professionals that PSG wanted to part with before the new season.

Draxler has been playing for Paris since the beginning of 2017, the 28-year-old midfielder's contract runs until 2024. The 25-year-old Kehrer came to PSG in the summer of 2018, the defender's working paper is valid until 2023. Both can have hopes for autumn to belong to the German squad for the World Cup finals in Qatar.
