PSV Eindhoven does not miss Eran Zehavi too much - certainly not when his replacement, Luc de Jong, begins to recapture the hearts of the fans.

Yesterday (Saturday) the Dutch striker who arrived from Barcelona scored his first goal since returning to the team and squeezed compliments, even though Eindhoven lost 2: 1 to Villarreal.

"Even after a few training sessions I can say that Sde Jung is one of the best players I have played with. He is a huge upgrade over what was here in previous years," said winger Noni Madouka, saying that could also be interpreted as a sting to Eran Zehavi.

"He doesn't necessarily have to get all the balls from the wings. He can hold a ball, you can give it to the field, he can get a ball with his back to the goal. It is commonly thought that he mostly hits well, but the truth is that he is a very diverse striker."

The "Voetbalzone" website has also stated that "De Jong gives PSV things other than gold."

De Jong returned to Eindhoven after three years, and in the previous term was the undisputed star of the team with 94 league goals in 159 appearances.

Zahavi scored 11 goals last season in the team's uniform and netted 7, but his numbers were adversely affected by an injury that caused him to miss more than two months, and his average per-minute conquest was pretty good.
