The 23-year-old Shmala, known to everyone as the winner of the TV show 'Ninja', had a long day of competition, when he passed the qualifying stage and screwed up in the last eight that made it to the semi-finals, to take part in the final.

Shamla said at the end: "I was tired from the beginning of the track and I really enjoyed fighting every step of the way. Winning strengthens my motivation for the (Olympic) criteria next year. And of course I am very happy to compete in the three stages of the competition."
