The Jamaican overtook her two friends - including the fresh gold medalist from Tokyo - and crossed the finish line first after 10.67 seconds • Halvey retained the title in the 110 hurdles for men

Shelley Ann Fraser Price did it again.

At 35, the mother of 4-year-old Zivan, the Jamaican runner-up was crowned world champion for the fifth time in the 100-meter dash as she overtook her two Jamaican girlfriends - including the fresh gold medalist from Tokyo - and crossed the finish line first.

At the start of the run there were still thoughts that Elaine Thompson was pregnant with the world record of Florence Griffith Goiner, but in the end the title was a new championship record of Fraser Price.

The bouncy runner with the colored hair jumped rulefully and did not drop the lead to the finish line she reached after 10.67 seconds.

In doing so, she improved on the record set by Marion Jones at the 1999 World Championships, which stood at 10.70.

Second came Whistle Jackson with a personal best of 10.73 and Thompson Hera settled for third place with a result of 10.81.

"After finishing a second in Tokyo I came home to work and work," the conductor said at the end;

"And I'm very glad it worked out for me."

Now, Shelley Ann Fraser Price is the 2022, 2019, 2015, 2013, 2009 world champion and gold medalist from 2012 and 2008

In the rest of the finals, the U.S. celebrated big time.

Even in the men's 110-meter hurdles final, the identity of the world champion remained as it was.

American Grant Halvey retained the title from 2019 when he set 13.03 seconds, but he did so after Olympic champion Hansel Parchment was injured in the warm-up and retired and after holding world record of the year Devon Allen was disqualified for an early leap.

In the end, only five runners took part in this final.

Second place went to Halvey's compatriot Trey Cunningham, who set a time of 13.08 seconds, when the surprise came in the form of third place: the Spanish Asier Martins with a personal best of 13.17 seconds.

Three years after missing the world title by throwing an iron ball at the tip of one inch, two-time Olympic champion and world champion Ryan Krauser has finally won the world championship with a competition record of 22.94 meters.

Only in the fifth throw did Cruiser overtake whoever was the reigning champion Joe Cobax, who set 22.89 yards and finished in second place.

The bronze medal was won by Josh Outunda with 22.29 meters and the three completed an all-American podium.

In the women's pole vault, Olympic champion Katie Njut added the world title to herself when she passed the first attempt 4.85 meters.

The same result was determined by a compatriot from the USA, Sandy Morris, who settled for the silver medal. Australian Nina Morris, with a personal best of 4.80, won a bronze.
