After the departure of Robert Lewandowski, FC Bayern Munich has to reorganize the offensive.
Trainer Julian Nagelsmann apparently has Mané and Gnabry in mind.
Munich – On Friday evening it was certain: after weeks of back and forth, striker Lewandowski will switch to FC Barcelona.
A few days earlier, the two Bayern superstars Lewy and Mané had met during training - there will actually not be a competitive game together.
Some had already dreamed of golden times at FC Bayern with offensive champions Mané and Lewandowski.
Serge Gnabry follows Sadio Mané's advice
But there is also good news, because at least Serge Gnabry's whereabouts have been secured since the weekend after some back and forth.
The 26-year-old wore a Bayern jersey with the number “2026” at the FC Bayern Munich team presentation in the Allianz Arena on Saturday – he has now prematurely extended his contract with the Munich team until this year.
Gnabry on the extension: "I thought a lot about what I wanted as a player for the next few years - and came to the conclusion: I want to stay at FC Bayern, win everything here again and experience something - above all the Champions Celebrating the League title, but this time with our fans. ”Obviously Gnabry listened to the advice of his teammate Mané.
And the rumored gross annual salary of up to 19 million euros probably also helped with the decision.
Sadio Mané and Serge Gnabry in a double leadership?
Gnabry also plays a crucial role in the planning after Lewandowski's departure.
Because Nagelsmann is probably increasingly relying on Sadio Mané and Serge Gnabry in the storm.
According to information from
tz
, coach Nagelsmann could plan with a 3-5-2 system and with Gnabry and Mané as dual leaders.
Nagelsmann has already used Gnabry in this position in Hoffenheim: "He also feels comfortable there, he can move much more freely."
In any case, the Bayern offensive does not have to hide.
The storm line is optimally staffed with Gnabry, Mané, Thomas Müller (32), Leroy Sané (26), Jamal Musiala (19) and Kingsley Coman (26).
Nagelsmann agrees: "I don't think it will be easy for the opponents.
You could focus a lot on Lewy.
It's not so easy now when you have so many players floating around..."
