TuS: Dynamism is in demand again

After the 5:1 win against Freising, the footballers of TuS Geretsried want to follow up this Tuesday in Holzkirchen.

Both coaches expect a duel at eye level.

Geretsried – The national league footballers of TuS Geretsried didn't have much time to celebrate after their 5-1 win at the start of the season against SE Freising last Saturday.

But that was not wanted either.

Only three days later, the match at TuS Holzkirchen (Tuesday, 6:30 p.m.) is the next challenge, which is why Martin Grelics urgently appealed to his players not to put regeneration on the back burner.

"The focus is fully on the next game," said the TuS coach.

And there it is important to “bring this commitment, this dynamic, as we showed it against Freising, back onto the pitch.

We need that in every game.”

That's why the training session on Monday evening was primarily of a regenerative nature and the physio department had their hands full.

Despite the clear result on Saturday, the weak points in the Geretsrieder game did not go unnoticed.

The phased uncertainty in the defensive movement was too obvious, especially when TuS had to act outnumbered for ten minutes after the time penalty against Lukas Kellner.

"We have to do that better and play with a bit more structure in phases like this," demands Grelics.

"There's still a lot of work to be done." Of which he doesn't completely exclude the extremely efficient offensive at the weekend: "We have to make the game in depth more dynamic."

For today's game at TuS Holzkirchen, "a game at eye level is to be expected," said the Geretsried trainer, who agrees with his Holzkirchen coach colleague on this point.

"I think it's going to be a close game," explains Joe Albersinger.

"In terms of level, the performance density in the Landesliga Southeast is very tight overall." His squad felt that right at the start of the season.

At TSV Ampfing, who narrowly missed the relegation team in the previous season, the team from Holzkirchner suffered a 1:3 defeat.

"But we don't let ourselves be upset by a defeat at the start," said their coach.

The Geretsried team did not lack that against Freising.

Nevertheless, Martin Grelics is cautiously optimistic ahead of the game in Holzkirchen.

"The team did a pretty good job of flipping the switch.

It was a completely different performance than in the preparation, "says the TuS coach, who also emphasizes: "It must not be less."
