LeBron James scores 42 points in summer league (from Twitter)
After two unsuccessful years, after a stormy end to last season and a summer of rumors, the Lakers stars want to open a new page.
To that end, LeBron James held a conference call with Anthony Davis and Russell Westbrook, in which the three agreed that they are committed to each other, committed to the Lakers and "want to make it work," with the goal of marching the team together to the championship.
According to a report in Yahoo, Russell Westbrook, whose name has repeatedly surfaced in recent weeks as a candidate to move up in the trade, "never asked to leave the Lakers" even though he recorded a disappointing debut season with the team and may even get a secondary role next season.
Uncertainty about him continues and it is still unclear if he will end the season in a Lakers uniform (most rumors link him to a move to Brooklyn, as part of a trade for Kyrie Irving), but at least in the meantime he wants to line up, alongside LeBron and Davis.
Is that what will give quiet?

As you may recall, new coach Darwin Am has also repeatedly stated that he is interested in keeping Westbrook on the team, even if he is not necessarily building on him as a key player.
The Lakers finished last season out of the playoffs, only 11th in the West, with a 49:33 balance.
