The Israeli lecturer, who made history, received high applause in Oregon at the exciting medal ceremony in which she was presented with the gifts.

After Luna Chamtai Salpter made history and became the first ever Israeli runner to win a bronze medal at the World Championships, tonight (Monday to Tuesday) the exciting medal ceremony took place.

Chamtai Salpeter and her friends on the podium, waited long minutes before the announcement of the start of the ceremony and you could see a lot of excitement on the Israeli's face, but when she entered the Israeli theft stadium she smiled and was already much more relaxed.

When she went up to receive the medal, the members of the delegation called her and she raised her hands to the sky and refuted a kiss towards them, as she leaned over to receive the medal and the championship mascot doll.

It was only the fourth time that Israelis have climbed the podium at the World Championships, twice winning the silver medal, by triple jumper Hannah Minenko in Beijing 2015 and pole vaulter Alex Averbuch in 2001 at the Edmonton Championships, when two years earlier, he was also responsible for the bronze achieved in Sevilla .
