Four years after his last competitive game for Eintracht, Alex Meier presents himself to the audience again on a grand scale.

We have all the information about the farewell game.

Frankfurt – There shouldn't be a lack of nostalgia that day, and not just because of the wide cut, reminiscent of the 90s, with which Alex Meier always wore the Eintracht Frankfurt jersey.

Because on August 31, his professional career on Main should be remembered again, which began in 2004 and ended more than 4 years ago when the football god befittingly said goodbye with a goal against HSV.

Then at 7 p.m. the farewell game for those who scored as they wanted, "even with the braid", if the fan chant is to be believed.

Celebrities on the pitch and on the bench

In order to do justice to the occasion, viewers can look forward to names from the "good old days" as well as heroes of the present.

Ex-captains David Abraham and Ioannis Amanatidis, legends such as Anthony Yeboah and Uwe Bein and Europa League winners Sebastian Rode, Kevin Trapp and Martin Hinteregger have all announced their attendance.

The teams are of course looked after by two former Eintracht coaches from Alex Meier's era: Armin Veh and Friedhelm Funkel.

These framework conditions provide the football god himself with the necessary anticipation, as Meier explains to the club's channels: "To be able to run up again in front of these incredible supporters and play with old companions, to cheer again in front of the north-west curve, will be a great experience for me and at the same time my thanks to all the people [...].

This day should be a single festival and I am happy about every single one who celebrates it with me.

Advance ticket sales for the game will start on Wednesday 20th July, with tickets priced between €5 and €20 depending on category, with proceeds going to charity.

According to the association, from Wednesday, July 20, 10 a.m. to Friday, July 22, 10 a.m., season ticket subscribers will have a right of first refusal based on the number of season tickets they have.

The free sale starts on Monday, July 25, at 10 a.m.

There is also good news for fans who cannot be there.
