While the Milan Skriniar, Renato Sanches or Gianluca Scamacca files are pending, PSG is looking elsewhere.
As announced by L'Équipe or Foot Mercato this Wednesday, the capital club has targeted Frenchman Nordi Mukiele to strengthen its defense.
The 24-year-old right-back, who can also play as a central defender, plays at RB Leipzig with whom he has a contract until June 2023.
In the spirit of the sports management led by Luis Campos, Mukiele could therefore come and double several positions, including that of Achraf Hakimi in the right lane.
Born in Montreuil (Seine-Saint-Denis) in 1997, he went through Laval training before joining Montpellier (January 2017-July 2018) then RB Leipzig since.
In September 2021, he became a French international for the first time under Didier Deschamps.
Negotiations are now underway between the three parties.
With only one year of contract to redeem for PSG, the transfer should not exceed a sum around 10 million euros.
The player and Paris would already agree on the principle.
Coming from the Paris region, Mukiele ticks many boxes desired by the “new PSG” of Nasser Al-Khelaïfi and Luis Campos.
The latter was already following him closely when he played in Montpellier.
