Paulo Dybala signed today (Wednesday) for 3 seasons in Rome uniform with an option for another season.
The Argentine midfielder, who has played for Juventus for the past seven seasons, apparently expected to receive offers from more senior clubs this summer, but once that did not happen, he decided to stay in boot country and will now be the biggest star on Jose Mourinho's squad.
The 28-year-old Dybala said after the signing: "The days leading up to the signing of this contract were filled with so much emotion. The speed and determination with which Roma showed how much they wanted me made all the difference. "And coach Jose Mourinho, that it would be a privilege to work with him. As an opponent I have always admired the atmosphere created by Roma fans - now I can not wait for the opportunity to salute them while wearing this shirt."
Dybala has won his time at Juventus 5 times in the Italian Championship, 4 times in the Italian Cup and 3 times in the Super Cup.
Dybala was named the Outstanding Player of the Year in 2020, and was selected to the league team of the season on four different occasions.
