Mixed feelings at Maccabi Haifa after the 1

: 1 last night (Wednesday) against Olympiacos.

In Haifa they really wanted to come out with an advance of victory from the home game and throughout the week Barak Bachar tried to instill faith in the players that can beat the Greeks.

In practice, in the last 60 minutes of the game the Greens "dominated unchallenged" as defined by the club members, but failed to translate this into a victory, which caused great disappointment.

On the other hand, the fact that Dolev Haziza's equalizer was scored in extra time sweetened the feelings and gave great hope for the reciprocity.

"I am disappointed with the result but satisfied with the character," Bachar explained.

"We controlled the game, probably in the second half, and we need to know how to appreciate the players for what they did. The goal is to create as many situations as possible and we did that. When we are in better playing shape, we will also be conquered from these situations."

The team will take off for the rematch next Wednesday already on the second day, and the players also feel that it would have been possible to go to Greece with a better result.

"It's very disappointing because we were better," testified one of the team's senior players.

"It's not easy to show such complete control in most of the game against such a strong team, so there is a disappointment that we did not know how to take advantage of it and win. In any case, we really believe in ourselves, and feel it is possible to move on and do something great."

The professional team of Maccabi Haifa wanted to strengthen the existing staff in the summer with diverse players who are able to play in several positions.

Bachar stressed that he was looking for versatile players because he knew he was giving up on Jose Rodriguez, which allowed him to switch methods while playing.

He was looking for players who could allow him to do similar things.

Daniel Sundgren was the first foreigner to sign this season, after meeting Bachar's search definitions as a defender with European experience and impressive diversity.

The second player to win big compliments was Dolev Haziza.

Haziza was most affected by Bachar's line-ups during the game, but proved in every role that he works hard for the team.

Haziza also finished off the equalizer and a spicy and unique celebration, during which he threw his game shirt at the fans.

The person who noticed the problem was Josh Cohen, who ran towards the bench and asked the farm man to hurry to the locker rooms and get a replacement shirt for the firecracker.

The striker came in as a substitute and despite recording two misses, squeezed compliments.

"He will get into things at the right pace," the professional team said, "yesterday he showed qualities, but he still needs to connect and take down rust. It sure will happen."
