The ambition: to train the noble for reciprocity

The Greeks complimented the Maccabi Haifa midfielder who excelled in the 1-1 home draw.

The Greens, on the other hand, praised Haziza the "property" and Piero who "showed qualities", optimistic about the chances of the wounded nobleman returning and preparing for a decision on the Planich issue after the reciprocity.

The players were disappointed with the result but confident: "It is possible to pass"

Summary: Maccabi Haifa - Olympiacos 1: 1 (Sport 1)

Mixed feelings at Maccabi Haifa after the 1

: 1 last night (Wednesday) against Olympiacos.

In Haifa they really wanted to come out with an advance of victory from the home game and throughout the week Barak Bachar tried to instill faith in the players that can beat the Greeks.

In practice, in the last 60 minutes of the game the Greens "dominated unchallenged" as defined by the club members, but failed to translate this into a victory, which caused great disappointment.

On the other hand, the fact that Dolev Haziza's equalizer was scored in extra time sweetened the feelings and gave great hope for the reciprocity.

"I am disappointed with the result but satisfied with the character," Bachar explained.

"We controlled the game, probably in the second half, and we need to know how to appreciate the players for what they did. The goal is to create as many situations as possible and we did that. When we are in better playing shape, we will also be conquered from these situations."

The team will take off for the rematch next Wednesday already on the second day, and the players also feel that it would have been possible to go to Greece with a better result.

"It's very disappointing because we were better," testified one of the team's senior players.

"It's not easy to show such complete control in most of the game against such a strong team, so there is a disappointment that we did not know how to take advantage of it and win. In any case, we really believe in ourselves, and feel it is possible to move on and do something great."

The professional team of Maccabi Haifa wanted to strengthen the existing staff in the summer with diverse players who are able to play in several positions.

Bachar stressed that he was looking for versatile players because he knew he was giving up on Jose Rodriguez, which allowed him to switch methods while playing.

He was looking for players who could allow him to do similar things.

Daniel Sundgren was the first foreigner to sign this season, after meeting Bachar's search definitions as a defender with European experience and impressive diversity.

Indeed, Bachar tried to make use of the Swedish diversity in question as early as yesterday.

The coach started in his usual lineup with four defensive players, but after four minutes changed lineup.

Sundgren shifted to the brake position, Noble Omar went down to play under the striker and Dolev Haziza moved to play on the entire right line.

Bachar expected to catch the Greeks unprepared, but it was his players who were surprised and suffered a misleading goal by the defense.

"Barak is known as a tactician, as one who likes to change and dare. Most of the time it works, but sometimes it doesn't work and it's part of the game," explained one of the players.

Bachar did not insist on the absorption and changed lineup again, and helped Haifa take control of the game.

At the end of the season, the Greens mainly complimented Ali Muhammad, who returned to show the good fitness of the beginning and middle of last season.

The midfielder, who starred in the games in Europe last season, did so last night and even received compliments from the Greek press as well as from the Olympiacos people who were enthusiastic about him and praised him.

The second player to win big compliments was Dolev Haziza.

Haziza was most affected by Bachar's line-ups during the game, but proved in every role that he works hard for the team.

Haziza also finished off the equalizer and a spicy and unique celebration, during which he threw his game shirt at the fans.

The person who noticed the problem was Josh Cohen, who ran towards the bench and asked the farm man to hurry to the locker rooms and get a replacement shirt for the firecracker.

Haziza tried to get the shirt back and the rest of the players joined him in calls to the audience to return the lost shirt, while Cohen asked them to "pull" the celebrations as much as possible.

In the end the shirt was indeed brought back from the stands, and Haziza finished the game.

"Dolev is an asset. He can play in several roles and in all of them he plays with all his heart. It's fun to have such a player on the team," the club said.

The one who has quieted down a bit the criticism he has received in recent days is Frenzy Piero.

The striker came in as a substitute and despite recording two misses, squeezed compliments.

"He will get into things at the right pace," the professional team said, "yesterday he showed qualities, but he still needs to connect and take down rust. It sure will happen."

The one who finished his part in the game at a relatively early stage was a noble Omar.

Last season's player suffered an ankle injury early in the game, but continued to play.

At half-time, Noble testified to the team members that he was in pain, but believed he could continue.

He faked a few minutes after the start of the second half, and was substituted.

The initial assessment at the club is that it is a sprain, but the diagnosis is not yet final.

The team very much hopes to train Noble for next week's rematch.

The player will now get a few days rest and then try to return to training, and it will be found out if he is fit.

Haifa, by the way, were a little disappointed that Noble went up for a few minutes in the second half and actually "wasted" a spare pulse.

As is well known, FIFA regulations allow five players to be replaced in just three beats, and a substitution in the half is not considered a beat.

Not only a noble subject in Haifa should be feared, but also a possible punishment from the UEFA. During the game, objects were thrown from the north stand onto the field and this will be stated in the referee and observer report.

The Greens are expected to stand trial, hoping to avoid heavy punishment.

"It's a little devastating for us."

In the warm-up before the game, they started singing the players' songs in the north stand.

Green fans tend to sing players according to the position on the field, from the goalkeeper to the striker.

Yesterday during the songs the fans passed the defensive players without singing to Bogdan Planic.

After finishing with all the players' songs, the fans from all the stands vacated to call the name of the Serbian stopper and make it clear to him that they expect "Bogdan will not move from Maccabi."

Even at the end of the game, when all the players and team members were already buried in the locker room, Planic was asked to stay on the grass and received the same message from the fans.

Seen from the side, Planich even seemed to have parted ways.

He hugged the heads of the fan organization, and his face betrayed great excitement.

At the same time, both the club and the player's environment continue to insist that the deal with AEK Athens is not closed.

Haifa is still determined to keep the brake and continues to insist that it does not release him for less than his release clause of 1.8 million euros.

At the same time, it is clear to everyone that after the rematch on Wednesday, a final decision will have to be made on the issue.

Officials in Greece also suggest that the group from Athens will demand final answers after the rematch.

Did you signal a farewell?

Fans hope not.

Barak Bachar, for his part, continues to repeat the same mantras.

"The traitor has a demand and it's natural because he's a good player, but we all understand his importance to the team. He's our player, and I see no reason why he should not stay," the coach said.

On the other hand, when asked if the team already has an alternative in case Planich still leaves, he replied: "If that happens, we will get along - but at the moment there is nothing to tread on because he is our player and everything is concentrated in the team."
