Jonas, can you explain to us what happened when you almost fell on the descent of the Col de Spandelles?
Jonas Vingegard:
My chain jumped and I tried to pedal but there was no solution so my rear wheel slipped.
I was just scared but I quickly managed to get back into contact with Tadej.
I was happy that it ended like this.

How did you react when you saw Tadej Pogacar fall in the bend?
I had the impression that Tadej was a little too fast in this corner.
He ended up in gravel.
He tried to get back on the road but his bike slipped.
It's an unfortunate incident and of course I've been waiting for it.
Is Wout van Aert the best rider in the world and in the future will there be a rivalry between you two within the team?
You should ask Merijn Zeeman (the manager of the Jumbo-Visma team, editor's note).
He is one of the best riders in the world on all terrains but I don't think there will be a problem between us.
I don't think Wout has ambitions for the general classification.
If there is, then we'll share leadership.
This year I did it with Primoz Roglic and it went well.
Based on this experience, I think it is better to have two leaders in a team.

You once again called your partner on arrival, what did you tell her?
I just wanted to be in contact with her my wife and my daughter who are at home.
They are the two people I love the most in the world.
I wanted to share this happiness with them and calling them was the first thing to do after my victory.

Have you ever thought of attacking Tadej Pogacar downhill, after Pogacar's fall?
I didn't need it.
It was better to keep a regular rhythm.
Then they told me over the earpiece that they thought Tadej was at breaking point.
That's when Wout van Aert gave his all and let go of Tadej.
Maybe a little later I would have tried to attack because I also felt good on the last climb, but in the end I didn't even need to attack.
Were you surprised by the depth of the Jumbo-Visma team at your side today?
These are two examples that show how strong this team is.
I'm happy to be part of such a strong team with the best rider in the world, Wout van Aert helping me win the Tour de France.
Of course, he has his own ambitions for the green jersey, but they are not incompatible with those of the yellow jersey.
