May the first glimmers of autumn seem far away.
Back at PSG after two experiences on loan in the United States (Utah Royals FC) and Atlético de Madrid, Aminata Diallo was gradually scratching a place in the starting eleven of the women's section.
At the beginning of October 2021, she even approached the France team (7 selections).
A contract extension is mentioned several times as his lease ends at the end of the season.
But the events of November 4, 2021 changed everything.
That evening, driving her vehicle, Aminata Diallo fell into an ambush whose target was her teammate Kheira Hamraoui.
The latter is violently attacked.
At the start of the police investigation, Hamraoui sweeps away all leads and ends up dropping the name of Diallo, who finds himself in police custody a few days later before being released without charge.
The episode marked the season of PSG and the two players whose friendship broke down.
For Diallo and those close to him, the shock was difficult to absorb as the media pressure was high and his reputation tarnished.
And if the 27-year-old midfielder ended up replaying several games at the end of the season, she knows that her name will remain associated with this case – still unresolved to this day – for a long time.
As indicated by L'Équipe this Thursday, the club took the unilateral decision not to offer a new contract to Grenoble.
She is therefore no longer part of the Parisian workforce since June 30.
A decision that places the new coach, Gérard Prêcheur, awaiting his official appointment, in a complicated situation.
The Parisian midfielder lost several of his elements this summer: Sara Däbritz (OL), Luana (return to Brazil), Léa Khelifi (Montpellier), Kheira Hamraoui (dismissed) and therefore Aminata Diallo.
Prêcheur can only count on captain Grace Geyoro and D1's best hope, Laurina Fazer.
Recruitments for this position are expected in the coming days.
As for Aminata Diallo, the reflection on the rest of her career is now open.
Can she relaunch in another club?
Does she just want to?
Exhausted by this season, she could take a break.
For her teammates, like Marie-Antoinette Katoto or Kadidiatou Diani, the decision of PSG seems unfair.
But they are also aware of their friend's mental fatigue.
