After two bitter defeats at the start of the season, VfB Hallbergmoos is again trying to get the first points from the hard-fighting promoted team TSV Nördlingen.

Hallbergmoos

– It comes as no surprise that VfB Hallbergmoos has not yet accumulated a point after the first two days of play in the Bayernliga.

The late consequences of the relegation and two strong opponents at the start - that was a difficult constellation.

On Saturday (5 p.m.) it shouldn’t be much easier with the duel at promoted TSV Nördlingen.

At the moment it is almost tragic for VfB that football games are not over after 80 minutes.

Then you would have four out of six possible points on the account.

The late goals conceded in Landsberg (from 1:0 to 1:2) and against Schwaben Augsburg (from 1:1 to 1:3) have to be viewed differently: while the turn in Landsberg was unfortunate, in the second game it was the opponent's class.

Coach Matthias Strohmaier doesn't complain, but already notes the after-effects of the relegation: "It's obvious.

Some players have tired legs towards the end, and others are exhausted from the head.” In addition, young footballers from the lower leagues still need time to get used to the pace in the Bayernliga.

Strohmaier: "We have to reach 100 percent as quickly as possible"

Looking at the first games, the Hallbergmoos coach also notes that goals were often allowed too easily.

That's why Strohmaier longs for the coming week after the Nördlingen match - without a game in the middle.

Then you can train more and reduce the gap to other Bayernliga teams again.

"We have to reach 100 percent as quickly as possible," says Strohmaier, who has a much broader squad than last season.

In the English week at the start, there was logically little opportunity to reduce this training deficit.

We were prepared for this balancing act, the situation was unavoidable due to the short time available.

(By the way: everything from the region is now also available in our regular Freising newsletter.)

As far as preparation for the upcoming games is concerned, Strohmaier has almost perfect information this season.

The Hallbergmoos opponents always play against FC Ismaning and FC Ingolstadt II in the two games before their duel with VfB. Ex-professional Yasin Yilmaz, who once trained Türkspor Augsburg with Strohmaier, plays in Ismaning.

And the Ingolstadt coach Alex Käs is also a good friend of Strohmaier.

The best conditions for exchanging ideas.

VfB Hallbergmoos facing the next difficult task against "brutally strong" Nördlingen

Coach Strohmaier learned from his interlocutors that TSV Nördlingen will be a difficult task.

Against Ismaning, the promoted team was ahead for a long time, and the Swabians won last year's third place, Ingolstadt II.

"A brutally strong opponent awaits us," says Matthias Strohmaier.

Nördlingen got his two opponents, who were to be rated highly, into serious difficulties, acted compactly and had a great switching game on the offensive.

With Almir Bajramovic, a VfB offensive player has to sit out injured until further notice.

Tobias Krause is also questionable for Nördlingen.

“But we deliberately have a large squad this season,” emphasizes Strohmaier.
