The French women's saber team has qualified for the final of the 2022 World Championships where it will face Hungary on Saturday (5:45 p.m.) in Cairo.
The French beat the Azerbaijanis 45-25 in the quarter-finals, then the Japanese 45-43 in the semi-finals.
They are already guaranteed to bring a seventh medal to France during these Worlds which end on Saturday.
France dominates the classification of nations of the Worlds-2022 with six medals, four in gold, one in silver and one in bronze.
In the other event on the program of this last day, the French men's foil team lost in the semi-finals against the United States 45 to 44. The Blues will try to console themselves with a bronze medal, provided to beat the Japanese in the match for 3rd place (3:45 p.m.).
