The Republic Championship for Wushu Kung Fu Sanda Clubs and Open Sports Homes Championships for men, youth and women, which was held by the Martial Arts Federation at Al-Jalaa Hall in Damascus, has concluded.
Aleppo Police Club achieved first place in the youth category with three golds, four silvers and a bronze, followed by the Golan Club with two golds and eight bronzes, then Qudsaya Club with one gold and one silver.
In the men’s category, the Aleppo Police came first with three golds, two silvers and a bronze, followed by Al-Golan with one gold, three silvers and four bronzes, while Qudsia came third with one gold and one silver, and Al-Jazira Club came first in the women’s category with a gold, followed by Beit Al-Shabab with a silver and two bronze.
In a statement to SANA, a member of the Executive Office of the General Sports Federation and head of the Athletics Office, Muhammad Al-Hayek, pointed out the importance of the tournaments organized by the Martial Arts Federation and the necessity of continuing them centrally and sub-specially for the distinguished and Olympic games, which have a wide base of male and female players.
The head of the Martial Arts Federation, Adnan Al-Masry, explained that the tournament witnessed a distinguished participation of clubs and sports houses, which was reflected positively on the technical level, pointing out that the Federation is keen to implement its activity calendar for the current year with the aim of nurturing and refining talents and developing the technical level of coaches, referees and all gaming cadres.
At the end of the tournament, the winners of the first places were crowned in the presence of the heads of the federations of triathlon, wrestling, physical strength and martial arts, the departments of the participating sports clubs and the families of the players.
