The trade that landed Rudy Gober in Minnesota certainly raised the bar of expectations for the Timberwolves ahead of the upcoming season, and the senior star of the team, Karl-Anthony Towns, has certainly high ambitions.
The 26-year-old actor gave an interview to ESPN in which he talked about his collaboration with Anthony Edwards, setting a goal that will not be easy to achieve: to reach the level of the pair considered by many to be the deadliest in NBA history.
"We need to go out there and play at a level that hasn't been seen since Shaq and Kobe," Towns replied when asked what he and Edwards need to do to become the best duo in the league this coming season.
"We need to continue to be who we are and improve our game. We both have a lot of work to do, but if we manage to grow together and commit to each other, to organization and to victories, we can get there."
aspires high.

It is likely that Towns has not yet reached his career peak personally, and Edwards is certainly not there given his two-season resume in the league, so their chances of matching O'Neal and Bryant in the future cannot be ruled out.
Last season, the center averaged 24.6 points and 9.8 rebounds per game, while his friend contributed 21.3 points.
