French Grand Prix: Mick Schumacher hopes for hat-trick
However, the conditions are difficult this time.
The Haas racer has to start from 19th place after his fastest qualifying lap was scrapped.
He had left the track and thus gained a small advantage.
The race director punished this later on Saturday.
His plan for the Grand Prix: "Then we just have to overtake more, that's definitely possible here."
In qualifying, Charles Leclerc grabbed pole position in the Ferrari - ahead of Max Verstappen.
The duel in the World Cup should be continued in France.
Verstappen is 38 points ahead of Leclerc in the overall standings.
That still sounds like a lot, but the Dutchman in the Red Bull was not able to win the last two World Championship races.

On the Mediterranean coast, he will start behind Leclerc, second in the World Cup, and should again fight a close fight with the challenger.
Leclerc comes with a lot of self-confidence, because Monegasse had recently won in Austria and thus reduced the gap.
Lewis Hamilton hopes for points at French GP
Secretly, Lewis Hamilton had hoped to have a good chance of his first win of the season in France.
But it doesn't look like that, Mercedes is still too far behind and the technical improvements didn't bring the hoped-for result.
The 37-year-old Brit Hamilton was fourth in the hunt for times and finished ahead of stable rival George Russell (6th).
As the sixth driver ever, Hamilton contests the 300th World Championship race of his long and successful career in Le Castellet.
