FC Schwaig celebrate a 1-0 win thanks to the stroke of genius of their centre-forward.

Opponent ASV Dachau was a tough nut to crack.

Schwaig

– FC Schwaig won their state league home game against ASV Dachau 1-0 on Friday evening and, after two draws against Karlsfeld and Unterföhring, got the first three.

Match winner was Raffi Ascher with his goal from the middle line.

However, the game was not easy.

Coach Ben Held's team missed scoring the second goal despite great chances and had to tremble until the end as the visitors missed good chances in the final quarter of an hour.

FC Schwaig started with the same starting line-up as three days earlier in Unterfoehring.

Since none of the injured returned, Held played in the back three again, with Ricardo Maier and Nils Wölken on the double six.

Schwaig started energetically and let ball and opponent run.

But despite much more possession of the ball, chances were scarce at first, so the guests had the first good opportunity in the 29th minute.

Central defender Dimitrios Papadopoulos threw a nice volley at Andreas Roth.

The long-time Bayern league player from Pullach skilfully took the ball with his chest and ran towards goalkeeper Franz Hornof, who saved his team from falling behind with a great foot defence.

The goal of the day came in the 43rd minute: Raffi Ascher initially let an opponent run into space before he lobbed goalkeeper Korbinian Dietrich on the halfway line – a goal of the Goal of the Month brand.

Just a minute later, Leon Roth had a great chance to make it 2-0.

After a nice deep pass from Vincent Sommer, he ran towards the goal alone, but put the ball just a few centimeters wide of the right post.

Then Tobi Jell got a free-standing header from a corner by Hannes Empl from eight yards, but narrowly missed the goal.

After the break, Held played a ball along the right line into Mikey Straßer's run, who passed the ball into the middle just before the baseline, where Ascher heeled the ball wonderfully in the direction of the goal.

The goalkeeper was already beaten, but a Dachau defender scraped the ball off the line.

And it went on like this.

After a corner from the right, Jell, standing alone at the far post, missed the ball by just a few centimetres. At the other end, Roth got through nicely on the wing and served Yazid Ouro-Akpo Adjai, whose shot from ten meters out was parried by Schwaig keeper Franz Hornof.

In the 64th minute, Sommer played a deliberate back pass to Roth, but goalkeeper Dietrich brilliantly parried his shot from eleven yards out.

Three minutes later, Roth was fouled in the penalty area by his opponent Adjai, but referee Jürgen Gabel allowed play to continue despite all the protests.

The game was now hectic and Dachau threw everything forward.

Again and again the guests hit wide diagonal balls at their strong outside players.

Schwaig was less and less able to calm the game and keep the ball in his own ranks.

Substitute Jonas Dworsky put the ball on his brother David from the right, whose shot deflected Hornof over the crossbar.

On the other side, Ascher played a one-two with Wölken, but Schwaig's center forward just missed the redeeming 2-0 in front of the goalkeeper.

In the last ten minutes, the guests stormed the Schwaiger goal, threw everything forward, created chances, but Hornof was unbeatable that evening.

In the end it was a narrow victory for FC Schwaig.

After three games in seven days, the Held team now has a week to prepare for the difficult task at TSV Grünwald.
