Thirteen years after its disappearance, the female version of the Tour de France is back for a prestigious first stage between the Eiffel Tower and the Champs-Elysées (81.7km).
And it was unsurprisingly the big favorite Lorena Wiebes (DSM) who won in the sprint on the most beautiful avenue in the world ahead of the figure of women's cycling Marianne Vos (Jumbo-Visma) and Lotte Kopecky (SD Worx).
She thus signs her 16th victory of the season.
Starting alone 17km from the finish, and while she had a 45″ margin on the peloton, the French Gladys Verhulst was caught just 2km from the end.
