Tyler Dorsey, ex-Maccabi Tel Aviv, signed a two-way contract with the NBA's Dallas Mavericks tonight (Sunday).
According to the contract, the guard, who played last season in the Greek Olympiakos, will be able to play up to 50 games in the regular season and the rest of the time will be part of the club's subsidiary team in the development league, Texas Legends.
The 26-year-old Dorsey is making his comeback in the NBA.
After being selected 41st overall in the 2017 draft, holds career averages of 6.7 points, 2.3 rebounds and 1.3 assists over 104 appearances with the Atlanta Hawks (2017-19) and Memphis Grizzlies (2019).
Dorsey played for Maccabi Tel Aviv from 2019-2021, and last season he played in Greece where he averaged 11.4 points (37.4% from threes) per game in the EuroLeague. Dorsey, who received Greek citizenship, is expected to play next to Yannis Antetokounmpo in the upcoming EuroBasket.
